Captain Novolin loaner materials
Here’s something you don’t see every day. When Novo Pharmaceuticals put Captain Novolin in hospitals for the use of their diabetes patients, they intended for the game to be loaned or given to the patients and even provided a checkout sheet similar to a library. By all accounts, this is one of the worst SNES games out there, but it apparently wasn’t too concerned with playability. This example was left in a closet in a clinic until a recent renovation. Here’s some scans of the informational materials they packaged with the game.
Final Fantasy II (IV) cartridge repair
Pretty proud of this one. I had this cartridge sitting under a shelf for a while (6 or 7 years) waiting to be fixed and I finally got around to getting a new save battery with tabs, so I decided to go ahead and try to fix it. I had to get about $3 worth of parts altogether in order to make it save. The game loaded fine, but it just wouldn’t ever save. Now that has changed!
Jaguar adventures
Finally got a new motherboard for my Jaguar. I got a single game a few years ago in the event that I got the system repaired. I also opted not to spring for the $45 S-video AV cable that’s being sold and just decided to make my own. I will probably start selling AV modules like this one pretty soon.
